Who builds it, and what actually helps
PatronageAn optional thank-you
One family does the reading, Gulf Breeze across to Mobile and 30A, and no reader has ever paid a cent for it. The guide stays free whether anybody leaves a thank-you or not. We are a family business and not a charity, so a thank-you is not tax deductible and does not go to a cause. It pays for the checking.
Pick an amount if you like. Nothing is charged on this page.
No payment can be taken yet, here or in the app. The amount waits there until that changes.
Who this isOne family, reading pages
We live in Gulf Breeze. The guide started as the list we wanted for our own weekends, and it grew because everything else we opened was a scrape of a scrape with prices from two years ago and half the venues closed. Our nine year old is autistic, and building things that work for kids like him is why we keep at this one.
The reading is the whole job and it never ends. Venues move their hours, festivals change their dates, and a page that was right in March is quietly wrong by June, so the sweep goes back around whether anybody has thanked us for it or not. If you want to see what that actually involves, it is written out on Good to know.
Costs nothingThe help we actually need
Word of mouth is the whole of our reach, so start by handing this guide to one other family.
- Tell us when something is wrong A venue changes its hours and tells nobody. Catch it first and every reader after you gets the correction.
- Point us at something we missed We can only check what we have heard of. Send the thing your town loves.
- Tell a local business we exist A business that knows us keeps its own details current.
- Give an hour The checking always has room for another pair of eyes. The Volunteer page says where to start and what an hour actually covers.
The best help of allSend us something real
The most useful thing anybody sends us is not money. It is an event we had not found, a price that has changed, or a venue that has quietly closed. Every one of those makes the guide more accurate for everybody who opens it next, and it costs you two minutes.
