The Destin harbor boardwalk has boats, buskers and ice cream, and through the summer it stacks free evenings on top: Harbor Nights fireworks on Thursdays, country on Fridays and a silent disco on Mondays. Check the boardwalk calendar for the current run.

The boardwalk itself costs nothing and the parking is the real price of the visit. HarborWalk charges $20 a vehicle in its own lot and garage from March 1 through the end of September, paid once for the whole day, and the city lots across the street are $15. A season pass is $175 and locals park free on the second Saturday of the month. Rides and food are extra. Through October the Fishing Rodeo weigh-ins at AJ's are free to watch, every day.
