Perdido Key State Park runs along a barrier island stretch of undeveloped Gulf beach, backed by dunes and sea oats rather than hotels. The park is open every day from 8 AM to sunset, with a boardwalk crossing the dunes to the sand. Entry is charged per vehicle rather than per person, so the total for a family depends on how you arrive. Bring your own shade and water, since there are no concessions on site.
Before you go
- Drive to 15301 Perdido Key Dr and park in the day use lot.
- Pay the vehicle fee at the entrance station or self pay box.
- Cross the boardwalk over the dunes rather than cutting through them.
- Pack water, sunscreen and shade there is no food or drink for sale inside the park.
