Big granite jetty rocks mark where the East Pass meets the Gulf, with dolphins, boats, and snorkeling for the older ones on calm days. The O'Steen public access is open dawn to dusk and costs nothing.

The city lists the O'Steen Beach Access as free and open dawn to dusk, and from there it is roughly a 50-yard sand trail out to the jetty. Destin publishes no parking charge for this access.
⚠ SAFETY: car-sized boulders + 20-ft drops between rocks. An adult plus an older kid on calm days only NOT for toddlers or younger kids on the rocks
Parking at the access is limited. Go early on a summer weekend.
