The Claude D. Kelley Recreational Area inside Little River State Forest remains closed while the Alabama Forestry Commission finishes repairs and improvements. A ribbon cutting reported in April 2026 said the work was still ongoing. No reopening date has been published, so camping, fishing, lake access and trails stay unavailable.
