The Walton County Fair runs Monday, October 12 through Saturday, October 17 at the fairgrounds in DeFuniak Springs, with its tagline Rooted in Tradition, Built for the Future. The week has a carnival midway with new rides, the famous pig show and outdoor concerts on Friday and Saturday nights, plus vendor and food booths and food trucks. Gates open at 5:00 PM, or noon on Saturday, and the final tickets are sold at 9:00 PM each night.
Before you go
- Buy gate tickets online on the fair's site or at the gate: $5 Monday to Thursday, and $5 or $10 on Friday and Saturday.
- Arrive at 790 N 9th St in DeFuniak Springs after 5:00 PM, or after noon on Saturday.
- Buy a nightly wristband or ride tickets from the carnival for the midway.
- Check the free entertainment page for the concert lineup on Friday and Saturday.

The Walton County Fair's own page lists $5 gate admission Monday through Thursday, with children 4 and under free. On Friday and Saturday ages 5 to 17 pay $5 and ages 18 and up pay $10. Rides are extra through nightly wristbands and ride tickets from the carnival. The total is a family of four at the weeknight price.
