The Santa Rosa County Fair Association hosts its first lawnmower racing day at the county fairgrounds in Milton, with souped up mowers running under Nasgrass rules. Heats run from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and again from 2:00 PM until dark, with fried fish dinners for sale between races. Proceeds go to the Milton Rotary Club, Santa Rosa Kids House and the Fair Association, and the Santa Rosa County Extension Service adds lawn care and water quality tips.
