A local picture-book author reads a musical story aloud at the Children's Story Room. The October 10 book follows a young Arctic boy on a hunting journey and pairs the text with a narrated soundtrack of music inspired by native melodies. The storytime suits babies through school-age children, and a different local author reads on October 15 and October 24.

What we checked, and when
Read off the venue's own page on 2026-10-07.
The Okaloosa County Public Library Cooperative's event page prints no price.
Not confirmed: The price. The venue publishes none, so neither do we.
Not confirmed: A military rate. We searched and the venue publishes none. That is not the same as there being none, so it is worth asking.
The listing calls this a community event hosted by the author's publisher, not a library program.
