The City of Foley opens its holiday season with Christmas in the Park at Heritage Park, where the crowd sings carols, watches the city Christmas tree get lit and visits with Santa. Hot cocoa and snacks are served, and the Christmas Tree Decorating Contest awards are handed out during the evening. Admission is free, and the lighting makes an easy kickoff to the Let It Snow marketplace and parade the next morning.
