The E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center near Freeport opens its trails for an evening on the nocturnal side of the forest. Families hike to the center's bat house for the evening bat flight just after sunset, learn about nocturnal wildlife, and stop at activity stations along the trail. Bring a flashlight.

The Biophilia Center's own event page lists adults at $15 and kids at $10, with a $5 Camp Longleaf add-on that includes s'mores, cocoa and coffee, and a bounce house. The total leaves out the add-on and rescales to your own party.
