Flora-Bama hosts a free one-mile run and walk each October in honor of the Battle of Mogadishu, presented with the United States Army Ranger Association. The 2026 event marks the battle's 33rd anniversary and is open to the whole community, with no charge to take part. It starts at noon on Saturday, October 3.
