The Greater Gulf State Fair fills the Mobile fairgrounds for ten days with a midway of rides, a rodeo, a community stage and a pickin porch. It is the largest fair in the Mobile area and a good outing for a family that wants a full evening of rides and fair food. Children 4 and under do not need an admission ticket, though they do need a wristband to ride. General admission and ride prices are not printed on the fair's pages, so check the ticket store before driving over.

The fair's group page lists $8 for adults 11 and up and $4 for children 5 to 10, and each group ticket includes a $25 unlimited ride wristband, but that price applies only to groups of 25 or more.
